The day Layla found the courage to walk in the doors at St Kilda PCYC to attend a school holiday program, she finally felt like she belonged.
We must continue our vital youth programs in 2024, but we need an additional $10,000 to run all 12 programs.
With your generous donation, we can deliver all 12 and engage more young people like Layla who are reaching out for connection and support.
Will you please help?

At PCYC, Layla began to believe in herself.
Living in the difficult and unsafe environment of a public housing estate was a constant struggle for Layla and her family.
After years of violence and intimidation, her Dad walked out on them when Layla was four. She struggled with poor self-esteem and low confidence. It was hard to have goals and dreams for the future.
St Kilda PCYC’s youth programs, funded by our generous community, give young people like Layla the chance to create a future they could never have imagined.
“My older brother was already involved with PCYC and I saw how much of a positive impact it was having on him. That’s how I found about the school holiday programs and Girls Group.
I have great memories of Girls Group. So when I was feeling low a few years later, I came back to PCYC. Everyone was friendly. I never felt like an outcast.
I needed a job, and was introduced to Jacob at Olive’s Lane Café. He gave me a shot – and now here I am, 18 months later, as Olive’s Lane Supervisor, working on PCYC reception, and mentoring the young girls here.
PCYC gave me a chance, cared about me and believed in me. It was what I needed to have hope for the future.”
